statistics

Acne or pimples are very common skin diseases. About 85% of those between 12 and 25 years of age have these problems. And in those older than 25 years, there are such problems with the skin (11%).

Although acne is most common in teenagers, and children with them, but some people older than 40 years.

What affects the creation of acne?

The main cause of acne is the body's sensitivity to the hormone, which is why the sebaceous glands produce more sebum quantity of lubricating the skin than the skin needs. In addition, there is a buildup of dead skin cells by follicle channel, which can clog channels and creating caps. Below plugs creates excess sebum and thus the conditions for bacterial growth and spread of infection to surrounding tissue.

On the occurrence, intensity and duration of acne is very much influenced by: a genetic predisposition, poor diet, stress, certain cosmetics or side effects of certain medications (some hormonal drugs). Certain medications and hormonal contraceptives affect the increase in acne. In contrast, some of the hormonal drugs and certain modern contraceptives work against the emergence and development of acne.

Women have a tendency to acne different in different age groups, but also in various stages of the menstrual cycle.

Some spices, if used in large quantities, have a negative impact on the dryness of the skin, as well as foods that contain more iodine (iodized salt).

Some types of laundry detergents and fabric softeners for laundry may seem irritating to skin and acne.

Strong shampoos and means for oily skin care products may contain chemicals that stimulate the production of sebum irritate the skin and help to develop acne.

Stay in the humid, hot and stuffy rooms increases the secretion of sweat glands, which speed up formation of acne.

Too much sun and exposure to strong ultraviolet rays of the midday is very harmful for the skin and favors the development of acne.

Too many clothes, especially in summer, causing sweating, prevents the skin to breathe and causes increased formation of acne.

Foods that cause allergy or redness should be avoided because it is just another factor that increases acne.

What not to do?

People prone to acne, especially the young, hard to resist the temptation not to touch or not to
squeeze pimples. Pimples should not be touched, and in particular they should not be (prod needle) because it creates scars and is infecting. If something is done with a larger (pus) spots, require maximum hygiene and disinfection.

Cosmetics such as creams for oily skin, oily facial creams and powders can further clog pores and effect the rapid development of acne.

Notes

The dark color of blackheads causes the effect of oxygen on the sebaceous glands fat plugs in the skin, not dirt or impurities.

Consideration should be given to people who are allergic to certain substances (fruits, vegetables, herbs ...) do not use such substances for the treatment of acne.
